Samsung, one of the biggest names in the consumer electronics industry has showcased its new innovative 19-inch LCD monitor panel at the International 2007 trade show in Yokohama, Japan. This display is called Soda-Lime.
The Soda Lime display offers resolution of 1,280×1,024 (SXGA), a brightness of 300 cd/m2, contrast ratio of 1,000:1 and NTSC of 72%.
The unique feature of this display could be its use of window glass that contains sodium to create the panel. Samsung claims that this feature will turn out to be its outstanding attribute.
Though Samsung has not revealed any information regarding the availability and pricing, the company says that the Soda-Lime display will be seen in the market soon.
