Hitachi StarBoard FX Duo FX 77 Multi-touch Whiteboard Launched

Hitachi StarBoard FX Duo FX 77 Whiteboard Hitachi Software has introduced a new multi-touch whiteboard, dubbed the StarBoard FX Duo FX 77, which provides an opportunity to the user to control the product by using multi-touch gesture, an electronic pen or presenter’s finger and other objects.

Two users can operate the StarBoard FX Duo FX 77 at the same time. The display is operational even with scratches or dents on the surface space.

Designed for educational institutions, the whiteboard is compatible with dual inputs that enable users to work on whiteboard with the multi-touch input. The big screen display comes with 24 customizable buttons for the user to maintain the presentations running smoothly. It also provides software to remotely combine around 50 of the whiteboards together.

Akira Nagamori, director of business development, Hitachi Software said, “The ability to use two hands naturally creates a whole new interface for whiteboards and computers in the classroom. A teacher can bring a static diagram of a plant cell to life by zooming into detailed areas – just by spreading his or her two fingers apart, marking it up with vibrant inks, and then linking it to a free flash simulation on the internet.”

The latest whiteboard makes use of camera image sensor with all electronics contained in replaceable components covered under a five-year warranty. With 72 digital ink combinations, the whiteboard is an ideal display for stimulating presentation, a customizable toolbar, interactive tools, handwriting recognition, object management, video annotation and many more.
