Lenovo ThinkCentre M60e Desktop

The new Rupee symbol has been welcomed into the tech world through the Lenovo ThinkCentre M60e desktop which recently released in India. This is a desktop compatible with Microsoft and has been developed keeping in mind the Indian government’s latest policies for PC manufacturers to embed the new Rupee Symbol in all computers sold in the country.

Since the Rupee acquired a new symbol and is set to be globalized, this move to create a desktop has been undertaken by Lenovo. The company’s technical teams from India and USA worked with Microsoft for building a user friendly software solution which employed the new Rupee symbol as mentioned in the BIS (Bureau of Industry Standards) guidelines.

Lenovo is proud to be one of the first PC players in India to launch Microsoft software compatible rupee ready keyboards. We are in the process of transitioning the entire product range to be rupee ready in the next few months.”

This PC is integrated with Windows 7 Lenovo Enhanced Experience system which enables quicker startup and shutdown. This PC comes equipped with the company’s ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery function which backs up data at all times and helps recover it crises strikes.

Users can now type in the new symbol and easily use Microsoft software applications like spreadsheets, word documents, Powerpoint presentations, etc. This is believed to bring about a fruitful change in the daily Indian business. According to Lenovo, this inclusion the Rupee symbol will aid in its wider usage and it will be at par with internationally recognized currency symbols such as the Dollar, Yen, Euro, etc.

Details regarding the pricing and availability of the Lenovo ThinkCentre M60e have not yet been announced.
