The Lenovo IdeaCentre Q180 31102AU and 31102BU that were recently unveiled are probably the smallest desktops we’ve bumped into so far. Both these PC are now available for pre-order on the official Lenovo website.

One of the major differences in the 31102AU and 31102BU is that the latter boasts of a DVD recordable optical drive. Other than that, the tech specs of both desktops divulge the same technical specifications.

Each of the products is embedded with a 2.13GHz 1MB Intel Atom Processor D2700 to run its various functions. This is supported by the Windows 7 Home Premium 64 OS and a 750GB HDD or 128GB SSD is also incorporated within the system.

On the connectivity front, the desktops are Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n as well as Bluetooth enabled, which lets users sync wirelessly with other devices. To ease data transfer and portable storage, each of the gadgets are embedded with an 8-in-1 card reader too.

Lenovo IdeaCentre Q180 02 The release of this desktop also reminds us of the ThinkCentre M77 desktop, which was aimed at business users. Launched in October, it was made available in SFF and Tower varieties, both of which obviously boasted a massive form factor. In comparison, the IdeaCentre Q180 sports a much sleeker and compact look, and is dressed in classy shades of black and silver.

For supporting the condensed rectangular form factor, the IdeaCentre Q180 is attached with a silver stand-like structure beneath it. Other than a one year warranty, both these devices ship with a black USB keyboard and mouse as accompaniments.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Q180 31102AU price is revealed to be around $369 (approx. Rs. 19,260), while the 31102BU can be picked for approximately $429 (approx. Rs. 22,400) if purchased on the website. The market price of both these desktops upon release is estimated to be roughly $399 (approx. Rs. 20,830) and $449 (approx. Rs. 23,450), respectively.
