Canon imageFormula DR-C125 document scanner makes office work easier

Canon ImageFormula DR-C125 Document ScannerFreshly launched by Canon, the imageFormula DR-C125 document scanner claims to make office work easier. It supposedly enhances information accessibility, management and collaboration. The compact device saves space and features intuitive face-up feeding with top feeding and top eject in an upright design.

The construction of this scanner results in a small operational footprint which seems to make it apt for cluttered desktops with little space or mobile cart usage. Its full auto mode adjusts various feature settings for smooth delivery of scanned pictures by a mere click. This is believed to be suitable for busy users with little time on their hands.

“The combination of small size and ease of use makes the DR-C125 document scanner the ideal choice for our customers looking for general purpose distributed scanning solutions. From financial offices to healthcare facilities, legal offices to government agencies, Canon imageFormula technology is facilitating the simple and reliable distribution of information across their businesses,” said Jim Rosetta, vice president and general manager, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A.

The DR-C125 comes integrated with the CaptureOnTouch software which features a sleek redesigned GUI for better usage. Through this software users can configure repetitive scan jobs at a faster rate as well as route scanned images directly to cloud applications like Evernote and Microsoft SharePoint. Furthermore, it enables automatic conversion of scanned pictures to PDF/A and Microsoft Powerpoint formats.

This scanner delivers color, black-and-white and grayscale scan speeds of up to 25 pages-per-minute (ppm) 1/50 images per minute (ipm). It is also capable of scanning both sides of a document in a single pass. The device features user-selectable paper paths for scanning thick documents, plastic ID cards, embossed cards and driver licenses. Image processing functionalities like background smoothing to improve legibility, auto resolution, auto color detection and shadow cropping, for seemingly high-quality results are incorporated in the compact document scanner.

The Canon imageFormula DR-C125 document scanner is now available at authorized Canon resellers for a price of $495 (Rs. 22,600).
