A hub for fun, productivity and entertainment at affordable prices for dorms, offices and homes is what the latest desktops and multi-touch monitor boasts of. Acer M and X series desktops and 23-inch T231H monitor are now available.
The powerful M series desktop can handle advanced applications, even HD entertainment. A storage tray on top provides access to microphones and headphone jacks. An option between Intel Core i3 processor and AMD Athlon II x4 Quad Core processor and 6GB DDR3 memory allows multitasking and running multi-threaded applications smoothly. It has a 3.5-inch hard drive slot and its 1TB SATA hard drives allow storing multiple applications.
The sleek X series desktop saves space as it is one third the size of a traditional PC. The system with a mesh black finish consists of ports protected by translucent doors, on the front of the machine. Either Intel Pentium Dual Core processor or AMD Athlon processor powered system has a 4GB DDR3 memory along with either a 500GB or 1TB SATA hard drive.
Both M and X series black, glossy desktop models with distinct graphics and 5.1 channel surround sound are touted to deliver high-performance gaming experience, HD video and audio for a theater-like feel. The SuperMulti optical drive allows movie viewing and burning DVDs and CDs. Open PCI-E x 1 and PCI-E x 16 slots are provided for adding graphics, RAID or video cards and twelve USB 2.0 ports for connecting peripherals. They come with Windows 7 Home Premium and Clear-fi to share data with another Clear-fi-enabled device.

The T231H multi-touch, Windows 7 compatible monitor is adjustable from 5 to 60 degrees for comfort and touchscreen functionalities. This feature of the monitor facilitates working on the system with other people and playing touch-based games. The hinge mechanism helps making instant adjustments and its gray stand can be folded behind to mount it on the wall.
The monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 is said to be apt for 1080p full HD gaming, Blu-ray Disc console gaming and its HDMI interface delivers high-quality audio and video. Further, its 50,000:1 contrast ratio and 2ms response time display clear and detailed picture. DVI input provides better connectivity with digital sources and DRM-protected entertainment is possible with the help of High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP).
The Acer M series desktop carries a price tag of $499.99 (approx Rs. 22,380) whereas the Acer X series desktop is priced at $398.00 (approx Rs. 17,815). The Acer T231H monitor is priced at $329.99 (approx Rs. 14,770).
