Maingear selling Shift PC with new hardware

Touting their Shift PC to be an everyday supercomputer, Maingear has introduced a hardware upgrade for the device. The Shift will now integrate the Intel Core i7 980X 6core, hyperthreaded 3.33GHz processor and a SATA 6G interface. Also included is the adoption of USB 3.0 and the Maingear in-built AcoustiPack sound dampening system.

Configuration options for the Shift span over an Intel P55 or X8 Express chipset, a 2.93GHz Intel Core i5/i7 or 3.33GHz Intel Core i7 processor, Asus P7P55D-E or P6X58D mainboard, 16GB to 24GB DDR3 dual channel memory, WD Caviar Black or Crucial RealSSD C300 storage. Other specifications include optional DVD/Blu-ray OD and Auzentech Hi-fidelity sound card, Microsoft Windows 7 OS and closed-loop Maingear X120 watercooling solution.

Maingear’s Shift PC is offered at prices starting from $1,799 (approx. Rs.81,764) and comes with a two-year hardware warranty plus lifetime labor and phone support.
