Gateway has unveiled new small back-to-school SX and DX series of desktop PCs that offer hi-fi productivity, entertainment and digital photography. The company has also launched FHD series monitors with an edge-to-edge glass design.
These series desktop PCs feature digital photo frame button that enables users to save ample of digital pictures. With a single click on this button, users can view a slide show of their pictures. Users can upload their images and other data easily using the incorporated device deck, a small recessed area on the top of the frame. Moreover, they can employ the front access digital media card reader to see and access the device deck, when it is placed under a desk.
The desktop PCs consist of a cable management hook on the rear side that helps organize the cables running from the rear ports. With the given grip on the rear side of the system, users can easily move the desktop PCs from one place to another.

The SX desktop PC model called the SX2800-01 comes with a small form factor, Intel C2Q 8200 processor, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM memory, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500, HDMI port, Intel G43 Express Chipset, Multi-in-one digital media card reader, Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit OS, 10/100/1000 (Gigabit) LAN, eSATA port, VGA port, 9 USB 2.0 ports, HD audio with 6-channel (5.1) audio support, USB powered stereo speakers, 640GB SATA hard drive and SuperMulti Drive featuring Labelflash technology.
The Intel Graphics deliver vibrant video while the Intel C2Q 8200 processor together with 4GB of memory offers quick system response and powerful multimedia applications. Furthermore, the HDMI port delivers high quality visuals and high-fidelity audio. The SX2800-01, SX series desktop PC model will be available in US from select retailers for $499 (approx Rs.23,969) in the last week this month.
The DX series desktop PCs offer amazing multimedia and entertainment. These PCs let users select between AMD or Intel Dual- or Quad-Core processors. These mini-towers with abundant memory capacity, large capacity hard drives, speedy system response and high performance offer hi-fi audio and visual entertainment.
Its processor is capable of handling demanding multimedia applications like watching, streaming video or editing data for school assignments. With Nvidia GeForce graphics, these desktop PCs enable smooth playback of videos with detailed film-quality game effects and environments. Moreover, the included 8-channel high definition audio support renders theatre-like sound quality.

The new Gateway DX Series of mini-tower PCs include several models which will be available in the last week of June through select retailers in the US.
Gateway FHD Series of monitors sport discreet touch-sensitive controls, elegant black bezel, metallic-silver highlights, edge-to-edge screen, 170-degree horizontal and 160-degree vertical viewing angles, two premium built-in speakers and L-shaped stand with a brushed-aluminum finish. They bundle up 16:9 aspect ratio, 1920×1080 resolution, fast response times and 300 cd/m2 brightness along with a versatile card reader.
The monitors support HDMI, VGA and DVI ports for watching digital images, movies, PC files and copy protected content. The flagship Gateway monitor of this series (FHD2402) comes with hi-fi built-in webcam. Powered by ClearLite technology, this webcam is capable of capturing clear images in low-light environments as well as undertaking smooth motion recording by enhancing the frame rates.
The Gateway FHD Series monitor models feature 24-inch Widescreen, 1920 x 1080 maximum resolution, up to 60Hz refresh rate, 300cd/m2 brightness, 170° (H)/160° (V) viewing angles, 16.7 million colors, two 2W speakers, HDMI, VGA, DVI, USB hub and Energy Star compliance.
