Packard Bell launches imedia lineup of desktops

Packard Bell imedia series

Packard Bell has launched a series of desktops dubbed imedia series, reports Engadget. Reportedly, this series has been greatly inspired form Acer’s recently launched M-series.

The imedia series features Core2 Quad or AMD Phenom II processor, 1.5GB GeForce GT230 and maximum of 8GB DDR3 memory. The desktops apparently provide 1TB of storage space. The other specifications of these desktops include HDMI output port and Blu-ray combo drive.

The imedia series also includes six USB 2.0 connectors, e-sata connectors, optional firewall connector and multicard reader. The GeForce graphics card also provides support for Microsoft DirectX 10 and high definition 7.1 surround sound with SPDIF connector. Running on the Windows Vista Home Premium, the imedia series bundles up a multimedia keyboard.

The Packard Bell imedia series will be made available for a starting price of $489 (approx. Rs.23,385) in UK.
