Lenovo rolls out ThinkCentre M58 and M58p Desktops

Lenovo ThinkCentre M58/M58p Desktop Touted as the greenest, most secure and manageable desktops, Lenovo has announced the availability of the latest ThinkCentre M58 and M58p.

Both these desktop PCs come equipped with Power Manager to save energy, ThinkVantage technology that controls electricity consumption remotely and Hardware Password Manager that permits for oversight of user, supervisory, BIOS and HDD passwords.

Further strengthening the eco-friendly aspect, the ThinkCentre M58 andM58p have achieved the gold status from the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool organization (EPEAT) and is GREENGUARD-certified.

The design goal for the M58/M58p was to be the greenest, most secure, most manageable and quietest ThinkCentre ever. Our customers will benefit from our advanced technologies such as Power Manager, support for Hardware Password Manager and other features.”

The ThinkCentre M58p comes in three sizes that include Tower, Small Form Factor and Ultra Small Form Factor. It sports Intel vProprocessing technology: Intel Core2 Duo E8x00 or Core 2 Quad Q9xx0 for superior performance. The ThinkCentre M58 works on the Intel Q45 chipset with ICH10-DO. Both come with nboard Displayport.

Both the desktop PCs claim to be six decibels quieter and cooler as compared to the existing ThinkCentre models.

Lenovo’s ThinkCentre M58 and M58p desktop PC are available for a retail price of $499 (approx. Rs. 24,600) and $899 (approx. Rs. 44,330), respectively. The monitors can be purchased separately.
