Dell intros Energy Smart Vostro 410 Green Small-Business Desktop PC in India

Dell logo In response to customer feedback, Dell has announced the launch of its latest green small-business desktop PC in the Indian market. Dubbed Dell Vostro 410 Desktop, the energy smart PC is apt for small businesses that demand high-performance and expandability.

Boasting to save up to 47 percent in annual energy costs, the latest desktop runs on Intel Core2 Quad processors and features a 512 MB graphics cards, 800MHz system memory, up to 3 TB of local storage and 4 GB of memory.

Pradeep Natarajan, General Manager – Small & Medium Business, Dell India, mentioned, “Small businesses are increasingly concerned about rising energy costs. With the Energy Smart Vostro desktop, we’re able to save our customers money and collectively cut down on CO2 emissions, while delivering the features and functionality they require – especially high-performance processing power, graphics technology, fast networking and maximum expandability.”

The “tower” designed PC incorporates more extension slots (six vs. standard four) and bays (four vs. standard three), holding up to six PCIe/PCI cards to increase configuration flexibility and gigabit Ethernet for wired network access. Dell has also bundled its first EPEAT Gold-certified display – the E207 20-inch widescreen flat panel monitor. It claims to have used recycled plastic materials.

The newest Vostro 410 promises to offer performance and expandability for customers running complex spreadsheets or databases, multi-tasking frequently and heavily, or those who use video-intensive applications.

The Dell Vostro 410 green small-business PC comes with a price that starts at Rs. 32,900. The E207 display starts at $259 (approx. Rs. 11,125).
