Lenovo Olympic Inspired Desktop

Yesterday Lenovo launched two new Olympic Games-inspired Desktops, namely the Lenovo 3000 J200 and the J205. These two desktops would be the first ones from Lenovo to be sold worldwide that sport an Olympic and Lenovo logo together.

Lenovo is one of the world-wide sponsors of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and it is the exclusive computing equipment supplier for the Olympic Games to be held at Beijing. That means the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games will have to depend on the hardware provided by Lenovo as all the data stored and scores will be displayed through Lenovo equipments.

Talking about the Olympic inspired desktops Dilip Bhatia, Executive Director, Global Desktop Marketing Management, Lenovo said, “The Beijing 2008 Olympic Games provides an opportunity to showcase our best engineered PCs to the world. We’ve designed our latest Lenovo 3000 desktops with that spirit in mind displaying the Lenovo Olympic Games composite logo along with a new, stylish design and including the features a small business needs to stay productive like high performance and excellent management capabilities.”

The Lenovo J200 desktop features Intel-based processors while the Lenovo J205 desktop offers AMD-based processors. Besides, the desktops incorporate Gigabit Ethernet, integrated graphics, six USB ports, a chassis intrusion lock and PC lock slot. They also include optional 9-in-1 media bay and DVD multiburner along with TPM 1.2 data encryption on some of the models.

The newly launched Lenovo Olympic-inspired desktops, Lenovo 3000 series J200 and J205 will be available in the market at $399 (around Rs. 16,120) and $449 (around Rs. 18,120) respectively.
