Nvidia announces GeForce 7 Series Graphics Chips Specially Made for Low-Cost PCs

Nvidia Chips for Low End PCs Seems Nvidia has decided to compete with Intel in the low-cost computer market. Nvidia plans to launch a family of GeForce 7 Series graphics chips which are specially developed for the desktop PCs ranging between $500 to $1000.

The GeForce 7 chips are meant to integrate onto the main circuit board of a PC’s motherboard. By this, Nvidia is expected to give a tough competition to Intel, which currently rules the market.

Nvidia already has a presence in the high end PC market. The PCs which are specially designed for gamers, animation artists include separate Nvidia graphics chip that connects to the motherboard of the machine. Thus, the PC gives higher quality of graphic performance.

The new GeForce 7 series chips will be compatible with Pentium, Celeron and Core 2 processors, and also on Intel’s upcoming range of Penryn products that will launch in November.
