Seems like Apple has a lot of news on the way! After the introduction of new iMacs, Apple has announced upgraded MacMinis.

The new MacMini comes in the dimensions of 6.5 x 6.5 x 2 inches and weighs 1.31Kg. The foremost upgrade Apple has made the addition of Core 2 Duo processors from Intel.

MacMini is available in two new versions, one with 1.83 GHz Core 2 Duo processor and another features 2.0 GHz processor. Besides, both of them sport onboard GMA 950 graphics and a slot-loading SuperDrive with support for Dual Layer media and 120GB HDD. The previous version of MacMini had 1.66 GHz Mini with a Slot-loading combo drive, 80GB HDD.

Also both the new versions will feature 1GB DDR2 667 MHz RAM. Moreover they will boast features such as 802.11g WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 2.0.

Talking about the software, the new Apple MacMini is equipped with Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger with Spotlight, Dashboard, Mail, iChat AV, Safari, Address Book, QuickTime, iCal, DVD Player, Xcode Developer Tools.

The new MacMinis are available at $599 (approx Rs. 24,200) and $799 (around Rs. 32,290).
