China-based computer giant, Lenovo has announced the plan to launch low-cost personal computers in India. After getting positive feedbacks from China about the product, the company decided to introduce it in India as well.
The Internet-enabled device will cost just about $200, which comes to around Rs. 8000 in the Indian market.
With regards to the launch, Lenovo Group USA
President and Chief Executive Officer William J Amelio mentioned, “We will launch the product in China first. After getting a feedback, we will roll out the device in the Indian market.”
However, the exact launch date was not revealed by Lenovo. The company also plans to export notebooks from its Baddi plant in Himachal Pradesh.
