Freecom’s MusicPal Wi-Fi Radio with MP3 and RSS Introduced

MusicPal Wi-Fi Internet Radio Freecom has announced its new model of music player, named MusicPal Wi-Fi radio. Its main feature is the internet-connected radio.

The latest player has the capability of playing MP3 and WAV tracks directly from a PC. It works on Linux 2.6 kernel operating system.

The device also supports home stereo for good sound. More than five thousand radio channels can be played via internet radio.

Furthermore, it also provides a monochrome LCD display with 128×64 pixel resolution and alarm functionality. The new Freecom device has the capacity to show live RSS feeds on the screen through Wi-Fi. This allows the consumer to enjoy the news, personal blogs, and other sites.

According to Freecom, on the LCD screen, RSS can run on the bottom whereas the tracks data for music remains up on the top. The MusicPal comes packed with ports for both headphones and RCA stereos.

The access to internet for free ports will be offered through Ethernet or 802.11g.

The Freecom MusicPal Wi-Fi radio will be available from August and will retail for $180 (approx. Rs. 8,200) in Europe. However, the company is ready to accept pre-orders.
