Corsair announces Flash Voyager GT, Flash Survivor and Flash Voyager updated with USB 3.0
Corsair has updated the Flash Voyager, Flash Voyager GT and Flash Survivor USB drives with the high-speed 3.0 interface. With the wide acceptance of the latest USB 3.0, the company possibly decides to enhance the performance level of its renowned flash drives. However, user can also lay their hands on the USB 2.0 models of these storage solutions.
The Flash Voyager GT is available with memory capacities of 32GB and 64GB. It not only asserts a data transfer rate four times faster than USB 2.0 versions but also claims twice the speed of flash drives with the standard 3.0 interface. The water resistant drive is coated with rubber and backward compatible with USB 2.0. The 64GB version offers a writing speed of up to 83MB per second and a reading speed of 135MB per second.
“Our new lines of USB 3.0 flash drives offer great choices for performance enthusiasts and on-the-go professionals. The Flash Survivor and Flash Voyager families are known for their ruggedness, reliability, and superior ergonomics, and USB 3.0 speed makes them even better,” explained Thi La, Vice President of Memory Products at Corsair.
The other two in the updated range, the Flash Voyager and the Flash Survivor, can be selected from 8GB and 16GB variants. The Survivor is up to 200m waterproof with its anodized aircraft-grade aluminum housing and also shock and vibration resistant. The Voyager, like its GT modification, is protected from water with a rubber covering its body. Also, it features a redesigned body with a smaller and sleeker appearance then the 2.0 drive.
The Flash Voyager GT 3.0 32GB comes at a price of $59 (approx Rs. 2751) while the 64GB for $129 (approx Rs. 6016). The 8GB and 16GB Flash Voyager 3.0 drives can be grabbed for a price of $17 (approx Rs. 792) and $24 (approx Rs. 1119), respectively. The Flash Survivor 8GB is priced at$28 (approx Rs. 1305) and the 16GB at $35 (approx Rs. 1632).
