LG Optimus Pad LTE tablet to debut in Korea

The LG Optimus Pad LTE, the first LTE tablet from the company is officially ready to make its first appearance in markets of Korea. Equipped with the True HD IPS display, this 8.9-inch tab runs the Android Honeycomb platform.
The Optimus Pad measuring 245 x 151.4 x 9.34 millimeters, features an IPS multi-touch display that renders clear visuals in 1280 x 720p resolution. Weighing a little less than 500 grams, it acquires multitasking properties from the Qualcomm dual core processor that clocks in a speed of 1.5GHz. The tablet’s rear panel is armed with an 8MP camera, while the front boasts of a 2MP webcam, allowing users to engage in video conferencing over the web.
“With tablets generating five times more traffic than the average smartphone, it’s not a huge jump to assume that tablet users need and want faster connectivity. The combination of LG’s LTE technology with the tablet form factor is a clear advantage for consumers who use a tablet as their primary consumption device when on the move,” stated Dr. Jongseok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company.
And what’s more, the slate is loaded with the Smart Movie Editor to simplify editing videos and pictures in addition to On-Screen Phone (OSP) for compliance with LG smartphones. Its Web Duet application with the search feature, can be used to send messages, e-mails and share updates via social networking websites. Moreover, its memory can be expanded up to 32GB using SD cards. Powered by a 6,800mAh battery, this HDMI enabled tab can also be connected via DLNA.
The LG Optimus Pad LTE release date and price are yet to be revealed.
