After unveiling the tablet back in September, the company has finally announced the Oregon Scientific Meep! price along with its availability details. This slate is designed specifically for kids within the age group of 6 years to 12 years.

Like the Micromax Funbook Pro, this slate brings in the Ice Cream Sandwich platform and a Cortex A8 processor under one roof for smooth functioning. It features a 7-inch zForce touch panel that offers a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and is durable enough to resist drops. The display is fueled by the Neonode Multisensing technology which allows kids to operate the screen without putting in much effort. Those wanting to keep an eye on their child can restrict online searches for certain content and websites through the Parents Portal.

The device sports an HDMI port and a USB socket in addition to 4GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. It also renders support for Wi-Fi connectivity for internet browsing and downloading needs. The tablet comes pre-loaded with a number of applications including Angry Birds and Toon Googles. If these aren’t enough, users can pick up games, books, videos, apps and much more through the Meep! store or Google Play. The slab is wrapped in a colorful and durable silicone cover for added grip and it can be picked up dipped in shades of meepadelic purple and meepto pink.

The Oregon Scientific Meep! price is tagged at $149.99 (approx. Rs. 7,850) and it is currently available via mass market retailers and online stores.
