The Dell Latitude ST tablet has officially set foot in India. A part of the company’s Latitude range, this easy-to-port device is said to be apt for professionals in the business and IT fields.

Measuring 270mm x 15mm x 186mm, this newly released tablet is equipped with a capacitive multi-touchscreen and is accompanied by a digital pen to take down notes on it. It offers up to six hours of life on a 4-cell battery and happens to be integrated with 2GB RAM. Running Microsoft Windows 7, this latest Dell device operates on an Intel Atom Z670 1.5GHz processor.

The Latitude ST weighs 816g and offers an internal memory of 32GB which is capable of being expanded up to 64GB or 128GB via an SSD. It is incorporated with a 10.1-inch WXGA 1280 x 800p wide viewing angle LED screen crafted with Corning Gorilla glass and a 5MP rear facing camera as well as a front facing video webcam.

Featuring an in-built digital microphone, this tablet also possesses a high quality mono speaker and is capable of lending support to various connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Dell Wireless 5550 single-mode HSPA and mini card with A-GPS. It comes embedded with slots for USB 2.0, microSD cards, docking connectors, HDMI, stereo headphone cum microphone jack and so on. Additionally, the Latitude ST boasts of a high performance 3G antenna and promises to deliver easy TV connectivity, photo sharing and network printing options.

The Dell Latitude ST tablet will soon be available through authorized electronic retail stores in India for a price starting at Rs. 36,000.
