Amazon Kindle Fire tablet to arrive via Best Buy stores
The first tablet from the e-retailer, the Amazon Kindle Fire is set to make its appearance at the Best Buy and Best Buy mobile stores starting November 15. Users who pre-ordered this tablet which possesses most capabilities of a full-fledged eReader, can also pick up their devices through these stores.
The front panel of this lightweight tablet of 0.45-inch thickness is dominated by the multi-touch display spanning 7 inches. This color touchscreen can be used to view or read content such as movies, shows, magazines, children’s books and more. It boasts of an 8GB onboard memory to store multimedia content for entertainment. Also, users can have access to their Amazon content on the go as the tablet supports cloud storage.

Besides support for Adobe Flash, it features the cloud-accelerated Amazon Silk browser which facilitates streaming videos and music as well as playing online games. And this Wi-Fi enabled device can be connected to various hotspots for web access. It is deployed with the Whispersync technology to synchronize the last page to read across devices including smartphones and other tablets used to read Kindle Books.
In addition to up to 1 million books, magazines and newspapers, the Amazon store stocks up on over 18 million movies, shows, apps, games, songs and more. The portable slate is powered by a Lithium-ion battery which provides power life for continuous reading up to 8 hours and video playback of around 7.5 hours.
The Amazon Kindle Fire tablet will be available through Best Buy stores for a price of $199.99 (approx. Rs. 10,048).
