Microsoft dual-screen Courier booklet spotted

Microsoft Courier Booklet

In times when the most awaited device is the Apple Tablet PC, Microsoft is gearing up to develop a dual-screen booklet. This upcoming booklet has been dubbed Courier, reports Gizmodo. This latest device from Microsoft is said to feature a dual-screen and stunning looks. Sadly, it is still in the late prototype stage of development.

To start with, the Courier booklet incorporates a pair of 7-inch screens. These multitouch screens are designed for writing, flicking and drawing with a stylus as well as fingers. The screens are connected by a hinge that holds a home button. The rim of one of the screens displays the status of the wireless signal and the battery life. The back cover of this device features a camera. The booklet may also incorporate an inductive pad charging system.

The Courier is speculated to be exactly opposite of the Apple Tablet PC. Its features like dual-screens, pen-based interface and several types of multitouch gestures render it a unique device. We expect to hear more about the Microsoft Courier in the weeks to come.

Well, we are a bit unsure as to when this product will enter the market. At present the Courier appears to be at a stage where Microsoft is developing the user experience and showing design concepts to other agencies. But we hope that this device makes it to the market soon.
