Is Steve Jobs developing a 10-inch Touchscreen Tablet?

Apple is in news once again. This time it’s not about the iPhone or iPods, but a new tablet-sized device.

Apple Logo AppleInsider stated that the reports from Wall Street Journal made it clear that Apple is working on a portable device, which is apparently smaller than its current laptop computers but bigger than the iPhone or iPod Touch.

Although there is no clarity in the design of the device, hearsay pointed out that the company has ordered 10-inch touchscreens for an anonymous product. By accumulating all the scattered gossips into one frame, it seems that Apple is either developing a tablet-class device or a portable gizmo that might be equivalent to a netbook.

Further, it is also mentioned that Steve Jobs – the CEO of Apple – is working on the device from home as he is currently on a medical leave. He is expected to resume in June 2009.

So, shall we expect the rumor to fall in place after his return to the office?
