Fujitsu LifeBook T5010 and LifeBook T1010 tablet PCs introduced

Fujitsu LifeBook tablet PC Fujitsu unveils new LifeBook T5010 and LifeBook T1010 tablet-style Windows PCs. Both these convertible tablet PCs are equipped with the next-generation Intel Centrino 2 processor technology.

Sporting a 13.3-inch widescreen display, they provide flexibility of a tablet while navigating or taking down notes with a traditional keyboard input of a notebook computer, making it convenient for all the mobile users who frequently travel.

The LifeBook T1010 tablet PC has a stylish silver gloss with an LCD touch screen with an in-built dual-layer multi-format DVD writer and webcam. The LifeBook T5010 tablet PC comes with a black cover and an LED active digitizer-enabled backlit display with a stylus. Apart from the standard 6-cell battery, the LifeBook T5010 tablet PC equips a flexible modular bay which houses a second battery, optical drive or second hard drive.

The LifeBook T5010 and LifeBook T1010 tablet PCs support Intel Centrino 2 with vPro technology. The 4.5-pound T5010 offers security and remote manageability on a chip. The value-priced T1010 weighs 5.3-pound.

The T5010 and T1010 convertible tablet PCs feature a bi-directional display that can be turned in both directions for maximum flexibility. They feature next-generation Intel wireless draft-N or Atheros N, optional Bluetooth v2.1, a spill-resistant keyboard, Fujitsu Shock Sensor hard drive and an optional wireless WAN.

The LifeBook T5010 tablet PC packs in security features including trusted platform module, biometric fingerprint sensor, Fujitsu portshutter data leak prevention software, two-level BIOS and HDD password protection.

The LifeBook T5010 and LifeBook T1010 tablet PCs featuring Intel Centrino 2 processor technology are now available while the LifeBook T5010 with the Intel vPro technology will be available in 30 days. The pricing of LifeBook T1010 tablet PC begins at $1,299 with a $50 mail-in rebate. They are available through Fujitsu direct sales force, channel partners, website and select retail outlets.
