Sony Micro Vault MACH SuperSpeed USB 3.0 flash drive coming this month

With the Sony Micro Vault MACH SuperSpeed USB 3.0, the company has introduced its first flash drive that incorporates the latest USB interface. Slated to hit store shelves before the end of this month, the drive will come in variants of 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities.

Carved out of aluminum, the sleek drive is durable enough to stand the test of time. It sports a cap-less design with retractable USB connector. The click mechanism further protects the Sony device, while the smaller form factor makes it even more portable for traveling purposes. The embedded LED indicator alerts users when it is in use.

The USB 3.0 technology utilized in the Micro Vault MACH claims to offer faster performance. Apt for consumers and business users alike, this drive said to be convenient for file transfer on the move, should clock in maximum read and write data speeds of 120MB per second and 90MB per second, respectively. Needless to say, users can employ it to store or transfer wide range of digital data inclusive of music, pictures, high definition videos and media rich documents amongst others.

Although it is deployed with the SuperSpeed 3.0 interface, the drive boasts of its backward compatibility with the USB 2.0 interface. This allows users to transfer files on a wide range of computer systems. It works with downloaded software like File Rescue and x-Pict Story. The File Rescue software helps retrieving lost or deleted data, while the x-Pict Story automatically creates a photo presentation of files saved on it.

The Sony Micro Vault MACH SuperSpeed USB 3.0 price has not been revealed. It will be available starting this month.
