The StoreJet 25A3 USB 3.0 hard drive was recently launched in India by Transcend. Expanding its USB 3.0 Hard Drives line-up, the company introduced this portable hard drive which is resistant to shock and believed to be quite durable.
The compact device is capable of delivering data transfer speeds of up to 90MB/s and features supposedly dynamic software which also acts as an advanced data backup station owing to its convenient One Touch Auto-Backup button. This feature enables quick and effortless data backup as well as synchronization via the bundled Transcend Elite software backup and security software.
Backwards compatible with USB 2.0, this HDD is equipped with powerful 256-bit AES file & folder encryption features. It apparently offers ten times the bandwidth of USB 2.0. The device eliminates the need of drivers since it comes embedded with simple plug and play features. Users do not have to employ an external adapter too as this drive is USB powered and capable of running on power saving sleep mode.
Since this device is integrated with the latest USB 3.0 interface, it can transfer a full DVD within 50 seconds. It is incorporated with the shock-absorbing suspension damper system that reduces the impact of a fall or thud and thus safeguards the internal hard drive. The sleek drive is capable of accommodating connection bandwidth of up to 5Gbits per second. This HDD comes hot on the heels of the just released Buffalo Drive Station Velocity external hard drive which also employs the USB 3.0 interface.
The Transcend StoreJet 25A3 USB 3.0 hard drive is available in India with a three-year limited warranty. It comes in 500GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities which are priced at Rs. 6,150, Rs. 7,350 and Rs. 9,800 respectively.
