LaCie CloudBox shows up with double protection for Mac, Windows and Linux

The new LaCie CloudBox that was revealed just recently combines local and online storage by utilizing hybrid technology. When data is stored in the CloudBox, it is backed up to the cloud and strives to keep data safe and accessible.
The hassle free hybrid technology comes in with double protection. The aforesaid ensures that information is stored in the cloud as well as in the hard drive. In case of any damage to the CloudBox, there will always be an online copy of the files. The entire stock or specific files can be accessed by the Online Restore app offered by the storage service.
The back-up process is relatively simple and online storage is an independent process, so users can disconnect the PC if they wish. The service seeks to provide enhanced levels of security with two copies of the files and AES data encryption. This feature encrypts the file before sending it to the cloud.
The drive arrives with 100GB capacity and is guarded by a one year online backup contract for 100GB that is renewable. The LaCie CloudBox is available at the LaCie Online Store, LaCie Corner and LaCie Reseller+ and starts at a price of $199.99.
