Samsung Spinpoint M8 1TB hard drive released for notebooks

A sleek hard drive with gigantic storage memory that easily fits in notebooks is what many have been hankering for. The Samsung Spinpoint M8 hard disk drive for notebooks offers voluminous space of 1TB.
The hard disk, consisting of two platters of 500GB each, is 9.5mm long and fits perfectly in mobile computing devices. The advanced format technology (AFT) increases its data storage density per unit area and a reduction in the use of components like disks and heads helps boost the operation speed by almost 7 percent while reducing the power demand around 8 percent.
“The new Spinpoint M8 line-up supports the ongoing growth curve for high density data storage densities, especially as it raises the bar to exceed terabyte density levels in the mobile computing space.” quoted C.H. Lee, vice president, storage strategic marketing, Samsung.
Integrated with Ecoseek and Noiseguard to curtail noise, the hard disk is designed to absorb shocks and bumps without resulting in any kind of data loss. It functions on 3 gigabits/second SATA interface, providing 8MB buffer memory for superior performance.
The Samsung Spinpoint M8 1TB hard disk drive is up for grabs at a price of $129 (approx. Rs. 5,770) around the world.
