Disasterproof ioSafe Squadron hard drive
Delving to keep users’ data safe and secure, ioSafe has unveiled its new Squadron disaster proof internal hard drive, reveals TechFresh.
The drive is fireproof up to 1400° F for up to 15 minutes and also comes with a reflective heat shield which is capable of deflecting over 98 percent of the radiant heat from a fire. On the other hand, the drive is water proof can withstand water up to 5 feet for about 24 hours, be it fresh water or salt water. Thus, it ensures a prolonged life of the drive.
Inspite of all the additional padding and extra material, the company’s ‘Air Flow Cooling’ vent system enables the drive to run at normal temperatures when used daily while its seal is shut in case of emergencies.
Users can install it in a standard bay of the desktop PC. The 320GB SATA version will begin shipping on May 17 at a high price of $309.99 (approx Rs. 13,821).
