Imation launches M-Class and S-Class SSD and All-in-One Upgrade Kit
Imation releases its latest Solid State Drives dubbed as the M-Class and S-Class. These energy and cost efficient drives claim to give users fast performance at lightening speeds. Also introduced are the SSDs with Upgrade Kits. This allows customers to upgrade their systems from HDD to SSD based without needing to purchase a new computer.
These robust second-generation SSDs offer users superior quality technology all packed in a sleek and elegant appearance. The latest drives from Imation are able to load applications within a fraction of the standard time. Running graphics and designing programs require the drives to harness power and these products are designed to do just that. While using the SSDs, customers can retain all their data without having to replace the PC.
Subodh Kulkarni, vice president, Global Commercial Business, Imation explained, “We recognize that users have many choices when it comes to SSDs. Those who demand speed and performance in a high-quality, rugged solution can trust Imation SSD drives to enable the computer to keep pace with the latest applications and enhance the user experience. However, we are also very aware that today’s users want to extend the life of their computers, both for environmental and economic reasons. A computer that uses SSD consumes less power and gives off less heat, making it more environmentally-friendly. Therefore, Imation makes it easy to retrofit a traditional HDD system with an SSD drive for a fraction of the cost, extending the life of the system, but still enabling the user to consistently get better performance from their computer.”
Imation’s latest creation provides faster performance and increased power for users designing systems like mobile applications, harsh environments and kiosks. A quicker storage and retrieval is achieved with these drives. Compared to traditional HDDs, the SSD emits reduced amounts of heat and noise. It also enhances the power punch without having any motors or moving parts.
Everything a customer needs when transferring to the SSD is found in the Upgrade Kit. This Kit consists of a 2.5 inch SSD drive and Acronis True Image HD imaging software for quick transfer of data and backup. Also included are easy instructions, a USB-to-SATA or SATA-to-SATA connector cable, power adapter and cable. The Desktop kits include the imaging software, instructions, 3.5 inch SATA drive, SATA connector and power cable or adapter.
The SSD drives from Imation can be acquired in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities. The M-Class and S-Class dives are available at a starting price of $189.99 (approx. Rs.9,376) and $659.99 (approx. Rs.32,570) respectively. The SSD Upgrade Kits which consists of a 64GB or 128GB SSD drive can be purchased for a starting price of $299.99 (approx. Rs.14,886) and $1,299.99 (approx. Rs.64,506) for the M-Class and S-Class respectively.
