New 8 GB microSDHC Card for Mobile Phones Launched in India by Kingston

Onkyo CBX-300 Kingston has released its new high-capacity microSD (SDHC) flash memory card in the Indian market. Featuring 8 GB storage capacity, the memory card is developed specifically for mobile phones and digital devices.

“Consumers are demanding more from their mobile phones, expecting them to double as music and portable game players, instant cameras, email communicators, browsers and navigators. Having enough storage capacity, particularly in the form of memory cards, keeps internal device memory free to deliver all this multi-functionality. Our 8 GB microSDHC cards are so roomy that mobile users can easily move entire digital libraries from a PC to their mobile phones – and beyond,” commented Nitin Malhotra, Kingston Country Manager, India.

The latest 8 GB microSDHC card is tested with a variety of mobile phones including BlackBerry Pearl 8120, LG evV2 (VX9100) and Voyager (VX10000), Samsung BlackJack II (i617) and Glyde (U940).

Weighing 1.4 grams and measuring 11 x 15 x 1mm, the 8 GB microSDHC card delivers a data transfer rate of 4 MB/sec.

The Kingston 8 GB microSDHC card is available in India for an estimated price of Rs. 2,999.
