Buffalo LinkStation Live with an integrated Bit Torrent Client, Unvieled in India
Buffalo India has announced the launch of its latest range of storage solution, called LinkStation Live with Bit Torrent: the Network Attached Storage built in DLNA Server, in the Indian market. The latest device is said to be designed specifically for home network to share data over a network.
The LinkStation Live features a built-in BitTorrent Client that makes the latest device the perfect memory solution to store and share a wide range of digital content from internet through a peer to peer file sharing communications protocol. It can also download files without the PC being switched on.
Available in an array of storage configurations, the NAS-supported LinkStation Live enables users to store content with the help of the one touch direct copy function. This makes its easy to take pictures or movies from digital camera, camcorder and storage device through USB port directly. Users can easily share the stored data on the network, and can stream it to a PC, a Mac, a Buffalo Link Theater and other DLNA CERTIFIED entertainment devices via a built-in DLNA media server.
“The LinkStation Live with Bit Torrent is designed for consumers who look for storage solutions supporting file sharing protocol for sharing large files. We focused on Bit-Torrent fundamentally as it reduces the cross-ISP traffic by eliminating the traffic’s linear growth with the number of peers,” stated Kazuhiro Tabuchi, Area Manager, Southeast Asia and Oceania Group, Buffalo Inc. India.
By using the Web Access feature, users can access data and media stored in the LinkStation through the computer’s internet.
The Buffalo LinkStation Live comes along with Memeo Auto Backup Software for Windows and Macintosh. It also includes other features like Intelligent Power Saving functions, timer power on/off and auto power on/off for Windows PC.
The LinkStation Live with Bit Torrent is scheduled to hit the Indian market by October for Rs.14351 (320GB), Rs. 16922 (500GB), Rs. 17951 (640GB) and Rs. 23095 (1TB).
