Iomega launches eGo Portable Hard Drive at Macworld

eGo Portable Hard Drive from Iomega Iomega has introduced the eGo Portable Hard Drive family with the capacities of 160GB and 250GB. The new family of hard drives is being displayed at Macworld, which is being held at San Francisco.

The new eGo Portable Hard Drives family includes 160GB and 250GB models featuring dual USB 2.0 and FireWire 400 ports.

The drives are as small as 2.5-inch and support Windows and Mac OS. Moreover they feature backup software and technology. And the DropGuard technology protects the drive from damages caused by drops of up to 51 inches.

According to Tom Kampfer, President, Iomega, “Now we’re raising the bar with exciting new models that offer more capacity and connectivity with PCs and Macs. The new models are available in several different stylish colors, making the Iomega eGo Portable Hard Drive the ideal portable storage product for family, friends, students, professionals and anyone who wants to add some personality to their computer.”

Both the models, 160GB and 250GB are available in three fresh colors namely Cherry Red, Jet Black and Alpine White. And the prices of them range between $140 (approx 5,499 INR) to $230 (approx 9,034 INR).
