WD announces My Passport Essential USB Drives in India

WD USB Drive Western Digital has released its portable USB drive, called My Passport Essential, in the Indian market. Housed in a glossy black finish, this compact and stylish storage product comes in a wide range of memory capacity such as 320GB, 250GB, 160GB and 120GB.

This easy-to-carry device can slide into the pocket smoothly as it weights less than 5 ounces. Claiming to be bus powered, the latest drive works without an external power adapter. It comes with sync and encryption software and boasts to be Windows-compatible only.

With the help of the Sync software, users have the freedom to simply synchronize essential personal files and Microsoft Outlook data on the computer and carry their desktop content whenever and wherever. The 128-bit encryption ensures the protection of the data if My Passport Essential is misplaced.

Currently available in the country via WD’s distributors, selected retail stores and online retailers, the WD My Passport Essential Portable USB Drives comes in 320GB 250GB, 160GB and 120GB comes with a price tag of Rs 9,500, Rs 6,800, Rs 4,700 , Rs 4,200, respectively.
