Advance Media presents Ridata 32 GB 2.5″ SATA SSD at Storage Networking World in US

Ridata 32 GB 2.5 Advanced Media, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of the popular Ridata brand of recordable CD and DVD media, has announced that they will demonstrate its latest non-volatile 32 GB 2.5″ SATA Solid State Disk drive that offers performance twice as fast a conventional Hard Disk Drive.

Advance Media, a subsidiary of RITEK Corporation, is also manufacturer and marketer of electronic storage products and digital media accessories.

Harvey Liu, Advanced Media President, said “We are pleased to showcase our extensive line of Ridata storage products at Storage Networking World. Featured will be our newest entry into the Ridata SSD Drive series, the new 2.5 SATA SSD offering consistently high performance in all environments. Compared to a traditional HDD the Ridata 2.5″ SATA SSD is smaller; uses half as much power; is ultra lightweight; offers fast boot and access times; and operates at a low temperature with no mechanically moving parts.”

The products to be displayed at the Storage Networking World, the Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas, Texas on October 15 – 18 are listed below:

The 32GB 2.5″ SATA SSD has the ability to reduce boot up and install software in seconds with the data transfer rates such as 60MB/s for maximum sequential read and 48MB/s for maximum sequential write. Moreover, the solid disk drive is resistance to vibration, shock and temperature extremes. The reliable drive supports ROHS and offers over 4,000,000 hours Mean Time Between Failures (MTBS) to eliminate IT labour costs and chance of loosing data.

The 233X 16GB Compact Flash Card (CF) sports dual channels of data throughout for high-speed reading of 233X (approximately 35MB/per sec) and writing of 100X (about 15MB/per second), depending on the device used. In addition, the card also delivers low power consumption with automatic power management and conforms to the Compact Flash Association Standard.

Available in six colors, the Yego USB Hub Drive features up to 4GB of storage with two additional USB ports for added connectivity for a laptop or other computing devices, advanced partition and security functions that help the owner to make password-protected sectors for the storage of personal or highly confidential material. Furthermore, it also comes with a tie-style LED indicator that displays usage status.

At present, Ridata is developing an array of 2.5″ SATA and 1.8″ IDE based SSD cards with required capacities and interface. The products are available through selected retailers and Ridata distributors.
