Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 to be unveiled at MWC 2012?

Samsung MWC Invitation

A smartphone going by the name Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 was apparently jotted across the company’s official site. It was reportedly penned down on an invitation to Samsung Developer Day at MWC 2012 along with the titles of other devices like the original Galaxy Note as well as the Wave Y and Wave 3 handsets.

It appears that the developer event will revolve around the generation of software kits that are capable of operating with the S Pen and the Bada 2.0 OS. This supports the probability that a bigger stylus-capable device could indeed be on cards at the event.

The introduction of a larger Note seems to make sense considering that the company has already hinted on the compatibility of the S Pen with a range of screen sizes. The company’s own Wacom inductive stylus, the S Pen is cited to be one of the principal features of the original Note.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Commercial

Interestingly, there was a supposed audition call for the role of a student operating the rumored 10.1-inch device. The act could probably be part of a commercial to be shot during early February. This again appears to be consistent with the belief that the device would be unveiled at this year’s MWC. However, this commercial listing seems to have been pulled off the site at present.

Though the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 looks very probable, the company has not divulged any confirmation regarding its release date or price details. In fact as mentioned on The Verge, Samsung representatives said, “We don’t comment on future product announcements.” Well, we guess only the MWC 2012 would shed some official light on the subject.
