As a part of its Autumn/Winter 2011 collection, Hercules has sprung out its multimedia speaker collection in the U.S. Four new models – Hercules XPS 2.1 20 Arc White, Hercules XPS 2.0 10 Arc White, Hercules XPS Sound Bar USB, Hercules XPS 2.0 40 Slim White and the Hercules XPS 2.1 40 Slim White are slated to release later this year.
The XPS 2.1 20 Arc White includes 2 satellite speakers a subwoofer and a wired remote. Along with a volume control unit, this remote also bears a line input to connect an MP3 player or an additional audio source. The similar XPS 2.0 10 Arc White model is mounted with a volume control switch, an on/off button and its line input is placed on the left satellite speaker.
The Hercules XPS Sound Bar USB is apparently, the company’s first sound bar device. It can be connected to ‘most’ laptops and ultraportable computer screens. This slim Plug and Play system comes with a USB cable and is capable of transmitting both audio signal and power supply. It is equipped with 4 active neodymium drivers and one passive rectangular driver. A pouch also comes bundled with this device.
The Hercules XPS 2.0 40 Slim White are the white lacquer versions of the company’s XPS SLIM models. Both versions sport chrome highlights and a taupe color on the front of their satellites. Touted to be compact, these speakers apparently take up minimum space.
The Hercules XPS 2.1 20 Arc White and the Hercules XPS 2.0 10 Arc White will be made available in late August this year at 34.99 USD (approx Rs. 1,600) and 29.99 USD (approx Rs. 1,372) respectively. The Hercules XPS Sound Bar USB would also be released around the same time at a price of 49.99 USD (approx Rs. 2,287). On the other hand, the Hercules XPS 2.0 40 Slim White and the Hercules XPS 2.1 40 Slim White will retail for 39.99 USD (approx Rs. 1,829) and 59.99 (approx Rs. 2,744) correspondingly during the end of this summer.
