Zoom H2n Handy recorder hits Best Buy, features 5 microphones
The Zoom H2n Handy recorder claims to represent a new generation of portable recording as it is one of the first few devices of its kind to employ as many as five studio-quality microphones. The audio recorder crams in enhanced features in its compact chassis to capture clear audio at all times.
The integration of five microphones delivers improved performance owing to four unique recording modes. These modes include Mid-Side (MS) stereo, 90° X/Y stereo, 2-channel and 4-channel surround sound. The newly designed user interface comprises a 1.8-inch backlit LCD display to help users monitor recordings. Also, it is equipped with built-in reference speaker which can be utilized to playback the recorded audio.
James Tsaptsinos, Vice President of Sales for Zoom stated, “We are extremely excited to partner with Best Buy for the nationwide H2n release. Our original H2 audio recorder became the standard in portable recording, and the H2n has continued with that tradition, becoming the new standard within the music, broadcast, and film industries.”
The device is armed with tools to recover data to eliminate the possibility of losing out on recording in case of low battery or power outage. It is fueled by two AA batteries which are capable of coughing up the juice for up to 20 hours. Additionally, it is deployed with high-speed USB 2.0 interface for faster data transferring. Additionally, it claims to work with most applications. The recorder is accompanied by an optional accessory pack which consists of windscreen, tripod, protective case along with a remote control.
The Zoom H2n Handy recorder is up for grabs through Best Buy for a price of $199 (approx. Rs. 9,790).
