Jawbone Icon Bluetooth

Here’s an accessory that is sure to make a snappy statement – Aliph has slid the covers off six new Bluetooth headsets under the Jawbone Icon line-up. They incorporate the company’s proprietary NoiseAssassin intelligence and provide personalization options via the internet courtesy of the MyTalk platform.

The headsets come in seven earbud fits and one premium adjustable earloop. Each weighs 8g and proffers Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 2.0, 1.2 and 1.1 support. Users may pair it with up to eight devices and two simultaneous connections. The audio enhancements consist of military-standard NoiseAssassin 2.5 technology, set-it-and-forget-it audio that intuitively tweaks volume levels from caller to caller as also improved speaker design and signal processing that offers better audio clarity.

“In building the next generation of wearable computing, we focused maniacally on creating the world’s best customer experience. We incorporated significant intelligence into the headset and as a result this is the simplest-to-operate Jawbone ever created, with a rich array of design choices to suit any preference or lifestyle. We like to call it a new icon for personal expression,” elaborated Hosain Rahman, CEO of Aliph. “Each customer is an individual, with unique tastes and preferences. With this in mind, we invented MyTalk as a place where people could go to get a richer in-ear experience. MyTalk is just a hint of the exciting ways people will be able to breathe life into their Jawbones over time.”

MyTalk AudioApps allows users to customize the voice and language in which information like caller ID or remaining battery life is conveyed to them through the headset. MyTalk DialApps supplies easy access button linking directly to services like free directory assistance, voice dial and voice-to-SMS. Simultaneous Multipoint permits users to switch smoothly between two calls on different phones. Icon features on/off slide switch and one-button control as well as a visual battery meter, the latter of which displays remaining battery life at the top of the iPhone screen.

“Design and self-expression have been at the core of every generation Jawbone to date, and now we launch an unprecedented suite of choices to match that personal style that makes you who you are,” cited Yves Behar, Chief Creative Officer of Aliph. “The materials, textures, colors and surfaces of the Jawbone Icon line produce rich and distinct watch-like or jewelry-like results. The six breakthrough Jawbone Icon designs need to be touched and seen in person to be fully appreciated. Each Jawbone Icon is infused with a unique and exciting look. Like characters in a film, each captures a different fun-to-wear persona.”

Jawbone Icon extends approximately 4.6 hours and over 10 days of talk time and standby time, respectively. It takes a little under sixty minutes to get fully charged and offers a range of around 33 feet. The device is sold with a micro-USB flex cable and AC power adapter. Aliph’s Jawbone Icon will be available starting from today at $99.99 (approx. Rs.4,556) at the company’s official website and Verizon stores. MyTalk is available as an invitation-only private beta as a free application.
