Pioneer goes musical with new DJM-2000 Mixer
Those with euphonious ears may be seen tapping their feet for yet another tempting reason. Pioneer has recently slid the wraps off an all-new DJM-2000 professional mixer. The new device enables new generation digital DJs to creatively produce rocking performances at an entirely new level.
The DJM-2000 buzzes as the pinnacle of mixers with technological advances that include the industry’s first 5.8-incg multi-touch 1 screen effects, Evolved Beat Effects, Pro DJ Link, and MIDI controls. Enhancing the overall performance capabilities, the new mixer proffers incredible audio features and audio effects.
The device comes equipped with a larger foot print than its predecessors to accommodate a sectioned layout of features as well as cosmetically match the new Pioneer CDJ series of digital media players. For adding unprecedented audio effects, the DJM-2000 features a full-color 5.8-inch multi-touch panel. Users can simultaneously manipulate the displayed controls on the panel by touching different areas of the screen.
“At the heart of DJing is the mixer and it’s absolutely essential to have the best product in your arsenal when you’re entertaining hundreds and even thousands of club goers. I’m confident that the DJM-2000 will be marked as the ‘go to’ audio mixer in the industry,” stated Matt Dever, vice president of professional sound and visual division for Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc.
Pretty interestingly, the mixer includes three different performance modes – ‘Frequency mix’ for more precise mixing, ‘Sidechain remix’ for seven different dynamic audio effects with touches and movements on the screen, and ‘MIDI mode’ that allows users to assign multiple controls displayed on the LCD screen to control DJ software.
Apart from this, the DJM-2000 embraces Live Sampler that allows the sound from a microphone or from the Master output to be recorded directly into the mixer. The device also has a USB audio interface3 that allows direct computer connection without the need for an external sound card.
The Pioneer DJM-2000 Mixer is anticipated to be available in June 2010 with a suggested retail price of $2,999 (approx Rs. 136,252).
