Latest iPod nano arrives with the Indian pricing details

New iPod Nano Trimming down the size of the old iPod nano, the newly flashed out nano device features a 1.5-inch touchscreen sans its click wheel. Apple has now announced the pricing and availability details of its ultra-small iPod nano bundled in with multi-touch interface for India.

The minuscule offering enables users to access songs, artist, albums and playlists tab with a tap or swipe of their finger. Its screen can be rotated by simply spinning two fingers on the display. Peppy tunes can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere with its compact size and a clip which lets users hook it onto their clothing. The Shake to Shuffle function and FM radio with live pause is also packed in.

For health conscious users, an in-built pedometer serves to help users track their steps, while with Nike + iPod support, owners may also keep tabs on their runs and workouts with a sense of convenience. Genius Mixes, about 24 hours of music playback on a single battery charge, and creating and editing playlists are the other highlights of this next generation iPod nano.

The music player requires a Mac with a USB 2.0 port, Mac OS X v10.5.8 or newer versions and iTunes 10 or later versions for usage. Although, it can also be connected to a Windows PC employing a USB port, and needs Windows Vista/Home/Professional SP3 or later with iTunes 10 or newer versions.

The newest iPod nano can be snapped up next week in silver, graphite, blue, green, orange and pink colors through Apple authorized resellers in India. It comes with a price of Rs. 10,700 for the 8GB model and Rs. 12,700 for the 16GB model. These pricing details include VAT charges as well.
