Bose Energy Efficient Series Sound System to debut in 2011 Chevy Volt Car
Bose announced that it will debut its Energy Efficient series sound system in the 2011 Chevy Volt car.
In a proprietary design, the new Bose Energy Efficient system claims to be 30 percent smaller and 40 percent lighter. It boasts the ability to consume 50 percent less energy as compared to the conventional Bose sound systems without compromising on the audio performance.
Ensuring premium and high-quality aural, the Energy Efficient Series sound system maintains Bose standards for clarity, dynamic range and accuracy. This helps the Volt to attain about 40 miles of electric-only range.
Speaking on the launch of the Energy Efficient system, Brandon Westley, President of Bose Automotive Systems, stated “The Energy Efficient Series sound system represents another ‘first’ in the long-standing relationship between Bose and GM. Together, we introduced the industry’s first premium, factory-installed automotive sound system. Today, we’re proud to be selected as the sound system supplier for the Chevy Volt. We believe the Energy Efficient Series offers a combination of efficiency and performance previously unattainable from an automotive sound system.”
As of now, not much is known about the Bose Energy Efficient Series Sound System.
