Asus intros U and UX Series notebooks
Asus is all set to expand its range of notebooks with the inclusion of two new series of notebooks namely U and UX. These latest series notebooks adorn a stylish, sophisticated look. They are a combination of good looks and easier computing.
The U and UX series notebooks come with LED-backlit displays which have the ability to automatically adjust the brightness depending upon the lighting conditions. With a frame inspired by the butterfly wings curvature, the notebooks pose sleek glossy LCD lid and a ‘chiclet’ keyboard.
Sporting a 15.6-inch display, the U Series notebooks come equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce G105M GPU, illuminated and interactive touchpad, up to 500 GB hard-drive capacities and Altec Lansing speakers with SRS true surround sound.
The spec sheet of the UX series hasn’t revealed much, it talks about a slot-load optical drive and a contrast gloss and matte finish.
Asus plans to ship the notebooks in Q2 of 2009. The pricing details of the notebooks are not known yet.
Asus U and UX Series notebooks are expected to be available during the second quarter of this year. The pricing is yet to be revealed.
