SanDisk Sansa Fuze MP3 Player unveiled in the US

SanDisk has announced to launch its new range of MP3 player named Sansa Fuze. It would come in three capacities- 2GB, 4GB and 8GB.

Users can play music, video, photos, FM radio and audiobooks on the new player. Besides, the Fuze also features a microSD card for expandable memory. A bright 1.9-inch color screen to watch videos and navigation and a voice recorder to capture thoughts on the fly are few features of the Fuze.

The latest player supports music formats such as MP3, WAV, Audible (for audio books) and Windows Media Audio (WMA) in both unprotected and protected files. While MPEG-4 video format and JPEG image files can also be played on the Sansa Fuze. Also it offers an access to subscription download services including Rhapsody To Go, Napster, eMusic etc.

The Fuze is compatible with Windows XP or Windows Vista. For non-Windows users, the new MP3 player also works with Mac and Linux operating systems (under MSC mode).

“The Sansa Fuze is an eye-catching player that consumers will enjoy for its looks, capabilities and incredible value,” said Eric Bone, vice president of product marketing for Sansa, SanDisk’s audio/video product line. “This new MP3 player combines some of the best features found on other Sansa products, including great sound quality. It’s yet another strong offering by SanDisk in the sub-$150 music player market.”

The Sansa Fuze is expected to arrive in the US market by April 2008. The Sansa Fuze 2GB, 4GB and 8GB will carry the price tags of $79.99, $99.99 and $129.99 respectively. Moreover they are available in various colors such as black, red, pink and blue.
