IOGEAR Portable Media Player Stores Movies, Photos and Music
How about owning a device that can not only store pictures or music but movies too? Yes Yes! The first thought would be iPod Touch or iPod nano. But this time it’s not a product from Apple. Surprisingly, the media player is from IOGEAR.
IOGEAR has rolled out its ultra-slim Portable Media Player, named GMD2025U120 in the US market. This versatile gadget sports multimedia functionality, allows masses to carry their most important content, which ranges from pictures to music to videos, wherever they wish to take it.
It supports a USB connection, which enables consumers to transfer their digital videos, songs and photos files from a computer or notebook PC. They also have the opportunity to watch their favorite content on a television or entertainment system. An RCA or component connection makes it possible to connect the player to a TV and view high quality pictures.
The GMD2025U120 has immensely advanced storage capacity as it can hold up to 34,000 digital photos, 30,000 MP3s, 3,000 uncompressed CD-quality songs. Users are expected to get a continuous nine hours of digital video or 50 hours of DVD-quality video.
“IOGEAR recognizes that today’s tech-savvy consumers are creating and collecting large amounts of digital media, such as movies and photos, and need simple solutions to transport and access them from any location. Our Portable Media Player makes it easy for people to transfer, organize and take their entertainment with them while on-the-go, and enhances the viewing experience by upscaling standard content to HDTV resolutions,” commented Miranda Su, executive vice president of IOGEAR.
The portable media player from IOGEAR is compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista-enabled computer along with HDTVs or standard TVs.
At present, the IOGEAR GMD2025U120 portable media player retails for $349.95 (approx. Rs. 14,000) and has reached the US market through select retail outlets.
