Popcorn Hour A-100 Digital Media Streaming System Pre-order Begins

Popcorn Hour A-100 Popcorn Hour has started accepting pre-orders of the latest digital media streaming device known as Popcorn Hour A-100, via the company’s official website store.

Supporting various connectivity options, the A-100 can stream digital media from the PC through digital cameras, USB mass storage devices or directly from the internet with the help of a built-in Media Service Portal. The device is compatible with high-bitrate video formats such as DivX and Matroska along with other subtitle files, including MPEG2 MPHL, H.264 HPL4.1, VC-1 APL3 in TS of at least 40Mbps. Users can experience up to 1080p high-definition video streaming.

The A-100 also bundles 256MB of DDR SDRAM as well as 32MB of flash memory, a pair of USB 2.0 plugs with a Parallel ATA port, an HDMI v1.1 input, component video in, S-Video, composite plugs and coaxial and analog audio.

Moreover, it also works as a BitTorrent peer-to-peer internet TV downloader, supporting company’s SayaTV, with unicast Internet TV compatibility with YouTube, Google Video and Metacafe by means of the device’s Media Service Portal.

In addition to music and video file, users are also allowed to stream contents that include photo from websites, internet radio and RSS feeds to the media hub.

Popcorn Hour A-100 digital media streaming device could be purchased for $180 (approx. Rs. 7,200).
