TurboLinux Wizpy, a Portable Media Player Launched Worldwide

TurboLinks has introduced the TurboLinux Wizpy, a multimedia media player that contains a PC-bootable version of the Linux operating system.

TurboLinux Wizpy Users can boot the Linux system stored in the Wizpy by plugging it into the USB port of the PC. Thus, they can keep their Linux desktop in the pocket and can carry it wherever they want. Not only data but also settings, passwords and bookmarks etc. can be saved on the Wizpy, by which users can get their own desktop, preferences, and settings on whichever desktop PC they use.

JPEG images can be seen on the TurboLink Wizpy through 1.7-inch OLED (organic light emitting diode) color screen. The Wizpy can play music formats like Ogg, MP3 and Windows Media Audio formats and video formats such as XviD and MPEG4. For more entertainment, the Wizpy is incorporated with FM radio. Besides, it can also record sound in MP3 format and supports text files.

The TurboLinux Wizpy is already launched in Japan and is available in two options- 2GB and 4GB memory. By the end of June 2007 the TurboLinux, Wizpy is expected to reach the worldwide markets including India. The cost of the TurboLink Wizpy will be approximately Rs. 11,225.
