Strengthening the supreme range of graphics cards with even better functionality features and enhanced design looks elementary to some manufactures. One of such makers is Zotac who recently announced the performance-oriented GeForce GTX 550 Ti and GTX 550 Ti AMP! Edition graphics cards.

The new mainstream graphics cards have been designed to provide maximum performance per watt while ascertaining outweighing 3D gaming experience. The GTX 550 Ti series features an ultra-wide 192-bit memory interface and speedy GDDR5 memory.

The model touts to offer 70 percent more memory bandwidth than earlier generations for improved performance in the latest Microsoft DirectX-enabled games and applications. The 550 Ti graphics cards also integrate 1 gigabyte of video memory to augment the experience.

“Each new generation of graphics processors enables us to push 3D performance further and add new features. With the new Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti series we are able to improve performance while keeping power requirements very low for maximum performance-per-watt,” pointed out Carsten Berger, marketing director, Zotac International.

The GTX 550 Ti also caters to gamers who demand maximum performance at 1680 x 1050 resolutions with 4x anti-aliasing for smooth frame rates and clear visuals. This one embeds engine clock speed of 900MHz and 192 unified shaders, while the AMP! Edition distinguishes itself with engine clock speed of 1000MHz and 4400MHz memory clock speed.

The graphics cards further feature 8-channel digital surround sound, Nvidia SLI, Nvidia 3D Vision technology, Nvidia Cuda technology, n-View multi-display, hardware video decode acceleration technology, and support for Windows 7 with DirectCompute.

Well, the pricing and availability details of Zotac’s new GTX 550 Ti graphics cards are yet to be announced.
