Epson trots out WorkForce 840 AIO and WorkForce 60 printer

Apart from swanky consumer tablets, smartphones and wireless devices, the current year’s CES also witnessed a few devices for the office environment. Epson has recently rolled out its new WorkForce all-in-one and WorkForce 60 printer with double-sided printing capabilities for small offices and businesses. Touted to be the world’s fastest solutions, these models vow to offer enhanced speed and mobility.
For multi-tasking surroundings, the WorkForce 840 renders high performance to increase the productivity. It proffers 15 ISO ppm black and 9.3 ISO ppm color single-sided print speeds, while the two-sided speeds are 7.4 ISO ppm black and 5.4 ISO ppm. With a 500 sheets input capacity, this offering ships with extra-high capacity ink cartridges which can print up to 1,000 sheets for further efficiency.
“The WorkForce 840 and Workforce 60 models were developed with the business user in mind, and expands Epson’s already robust line of business ink jet printers and all-in-ones,” stated Rodrigo Catalan, product manager, Business Ink Jets, Epson America.
Sporting a 7.8” touch control panel and a 3.5” high-resolution color LCD, the WorkForce 840 AIO has a built-in two-sided 30-page Automatic Document Feeder to copy, scan and fax two-sided documents. In order to provide storage capabilities, this device equips memory card slots and a USB drive port. Auto duplex scanning, copying and printing abilities are also bundled in.
“We understand that small and home-based offices with high print volume needs require a fast, reliable, and easy-to-operate printing solution that is cost-effective and produces top-quality output, and these models deliver on all fronts,” added Catalan.
On the other hand, the WorkForce 60 delivers 15 ISO ppm black and 7.1 ISO ppm color single-sided speeds, and 7.4 ISO ppm black and 4.7 ISO ppm color two-sided print speeds. In a slim design, it can hold up to 250 sheets. Along with built-in Wi-Fi, both models come with Ethernet compatibility. The included Epson MicroPiezo print head technology with smart nozzles produces ink droplets in three sizes.
The Epson WorkForce 840 and WorkForce 60 are anticipated to be available in January for $299.99 (approx Rs. 13,570) and $129.99 (approx Rs. 5,880), respectively.
