Iomega StorCenter PX Series of network storage devices introduced

To provide consumers with efficiently devised storage options, Iomega recently settled upon expanding its range. The company has announced its new Iomega StorCenter PX Series of network storage devices for small-and medium-sized businesses and distributed enterprises.
Integrated with EMC storage technology, the portfolio comes equipped with four-bay and six-bay desktop variants and a four-bay rackmount version, each procurable in scalable configurations. Designed with simple installation for augmented convenience, the lineup ranges from diskless with no included storage up to 18TB of storage capacity.
Apart from this, the performance standard steps up with the employment of Iomega’s Personal Cloud technology which enables users to reliably protect and share data from virtually anywhere without any incremental costs. There’s Active Directory Support and remote access as well which ensure anytime, anywhere data availability.
“The new Iomega StorCenter PX series products are powerful business class NAS devices designed to meet and exceed the network storage needs of today’s small and mid-sized businesses,” commented Jonathan Huberman, president of Iomega. “The PX series has the same easy-to-use LifeLine operating system and hardware designed and tested by the same team that produces EMC’s enterprise network storage products.”
For augmented security, the company has plopped down data replication and device-to-device copy tasks which help users keep their data backed up and secure. Besides this, using the embedded Axis Video Hosting System, the series can efficiently lend support to up to 12 Axis IP security cameras for affordable and superior video surveillance solutions compared to existing traditional DVR-based surveillance installations.
“The result is easy-to-use, high performance desktop and rackmount network storage devices with a server-class pedigree, advanced data protection features, flexible storage configurations, Iomega’s Personal Cloud technology and more,” added Huberman. “With the debut of the StorCenter PX series, Iomega now offers a complete range of network storage solutions for everyone from entry-level consumers and home offices to SMBs and distributed enterprise locations of the world’s largest companies.”
